Comments: Chazy is located on the north eastshore of Lake Champlain and students are somewhat limited in their experience and knowledge of the Adirondacks.  This project helped them to become more aware of the Adirondacks and what they have to offer.  This project can be adapted to use different themes such as: The High Peaks, or ski areas, or lakes, animals or birds of the Adirondacks, as well as artists of the Adirondacks, etc.; as well as grade and ability  levels.  Students also had to design a way for the calendar to work which forced them to be creative and use math skills (calculations and measureing), as well as common sense.
