Investigative Question or Issue: What three rivers flowed through the Sacandaga Valley prior to 1930 and for what purposes were they used?  Why was the Sacandaga Lake created?

Challenge:
 
A.  Students will individually research the Sacandaga Valley area prior to 1930 using the internet and resources provided.

B.  Students will complete a graphic organizer answering the investigative questions.

Quality Standards:

*  Research the Sacandaga Valley area prior to 1930.

*  Complete a grapic organizer
                   -  Name the 3 rivers flowing through the Sacandaga Valley
                   -  List 3 details of what the rivers in the valley were used for
                   -  State the reasons the Sacandaga Lake was created
