Investigative Question or Issue: Can the invertebrates in the water and the plants on the grounds of the VIC, Paul Smith's be compared to the St. Lawrence Valley?

Challenge:
 
Students were instructed to investigate the water quality of the VIC "floating bridge" area by surveying the type-diversity and population numbers of the benthic invertebrates.

Comments: Our macroinvertebrates on the VIC field trip were class 1 & 2 at the VIC center.  This is an indicator of moderate to very good water quality.
