White, fluffy, new.
The first snowfall covers the ground like a soft shawl.
Trees bow to the ground, with a question of honor.
Dominant mountains reach with hands spread to the clouds,
Peaking through pink and blue heavens.
Sprouts of late growing grass struggle to feel the gleaming sun,
Soon surrenduring to the heavy, cold invader.
Snow settles on top of the roof
Like a big sheet of paper.
In the quiet morning air the abandoned barn creaks,
Complaining about the icy atmosphere.
Reliving this duration of cold called winter.
